Good morning everyone, my name's Mercedes, like the car, but you can call me "Meche" or just "Mercy" if that's more convenient
I'm an aspiring Storyboard and Vis Dev artist eager to explore the not-so-talked-about production design phase, that is, the seed.
I’m from Mexico City where I’m constantly enchanted by the whimsical vibe of the place despite my lack of fondness for the chaos
I usually favor simple yet quirky designs that support the much-needed message beautifully wrapped in short and wacky stories. It's not hard to tell that I'm a storyteller by heart, but I'm often torn between choosing the way a story can take shape and the tinkering of a long-lost practice
I strive to create well-researched and thoughtful work, that includes objects that I’d personally love to own myself
As a youngster I developed a fascination for scribbling, being able to express myself in different languages as an extension of myself and virtual worlds
This burning love and passion eventually steered me to the doorstep of SAE Institute Mexico
When I started dabbling in plush making back in 2016, I got surprisingly attached to the method where I’m allowed to experiment with 2D shapes to then manifest them in a corporeal form, that is 3D, but physically
I'm absolutely bananas about mixed-media and the pipeline conceptualization stages, so I love bringing whimsical elements into the everyday life
I hit a wall during my most critical years of college but I refounded my why in one of the most unexpected ways, so I’m stoked to finally be able to share the highs and lows and not be ashamed of my mistakes
I often oscillate between the creative part of the process and the less-spoken business side, feeling a strong pull toward self-discovery and the joy of learning
When not undertaking any main quests, I can be found scurrying around the corners of the internet under my online penname FrameMade, a direct reference to the animation "Frames" mashed up with the "Handmade" part of what I do (just so you know, if said at x2 speed, it starts to sound more like “Frame rate” if you catch my drift) ; weightlifting at the gym, immersing myself other languages, sewing or simply unwinding while playing videogames
I continue to cultivate my journey of finding inspiration amidst the bustling vibrancy of Mexico City
I yearn to set up an online based studio someday and explore the world and not trade one for the other
